Any relationship can face challenges.
Has fighting and defensiveness become your usual way of communicating? You feel so far away from the days when things were easy and fun. Life got busy, and you stopped prioritizing each other.
When was the last time you went on a date? So many other issues stand in the way of finding time together. Even communicating at the end of the day is difficult. It’s easier to plop down in front of the TV and tune everything else out.
Problems start small but have become more serious, primarily because those little issues and concerns are now “big issues.”
Every relationship is a cycle of connection, disconnection, and repair. I want to help you in all three of these areas.
Communication helps maintain healthy relationships.
Couples therapy provides a safe space where each partner feels heard and understood. Therapy offers a time to focus on issues that interfere with a healthy relationship.
As a therapist, I can help you learn all the skills that are present in healthy relationships. Before we begin building these skills, we will spend four sessions discussing the issues in the relationship. We will all meet for 90 minutes to see where things stand.
Then, I will meet with each partner individually and discuss unmet needs and what must change to improve the relationship moving forward. We will then create a space for both partners to feel heard. From there, we chart a proven path to restore and maintain the lost connection.
Learn to work together and communicate openly – allowing your relationship to be less challenging. It’s best to address issues before they begin to impact your relationship.
Please get in touch with me today, and we can start working together to ensure your relationship stays on track.
